Gold Group / Organization Donors The Texas Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Headquarters, Posts and Leaders throughout Texas are setting a stellar example It is clear that Commander Dan West, Adjutant/Quartermaster Roy Grona and other leaders and members honor the service and sacrifice of the Global War on Terror Veterans and their Families. Originally founded in 1899 as the American Veterans of Foreign Service, the VFW continues to be a voice for veterans, currently deployed members of our Armed Forces, and their families. The VFW mission is to support those who have sacrificed so much for this country—All veterans and their families. The 2.4 million members of the VFW and its Auxiliaries are located in 8,500 VFW Posts around the world. We are at heart an organization dedicated to providing a place for all of those who have sacrificed in our nation’s conflicts abroad. While we are a national organization, we express this dedication through our local posts and programs to support veterans service members, and their families. Thom Bolsch and his team at Saddle River Range have built the most luxurious, family friendly, indoor firearms/archery range, training academy and full retail store in Texas. They are a lead sponsor for our upcoming fundraiser “Warrior Evening” (31 Aug 2016) where supporters of the Texas War memorial can experience the impeccably clean, upscale environment while enjoying friendly team mixed arms competition with fellow supporters and some of our Nation’s heroes.
Thom also encourages all his patrons and fellow patriots to contribute to the Texas War Memorial through Saddle River Range. He looks forward to proudly displaying the Price of Liberty Statue in his showroom so all the customers and staff can appreciate the Warriors and military families who have sacrificed so much for our freedoms and way of life. Jim Morris is a Texas native who challenged home building industry standards when he began his company in 1992. Handshakes and barbeques best describe the manner in which he and his team have approached business. And it has proven successful. Jim Morris and his company have been spotlighted in such prestigious industry journals as Dream Homes of Texas, Luxury Homes of Texas and The Builder’s Journal. Hundreds of homes later, Morris has today become a recognized custom home builder and much more in the Montgomery County community. Morris is a search and recovery volunteer with the local constable’s office and sponsors a number of local programs, including drug prevention in area schools. When Hurricane Ike hit the Texas coast, he and his team immediately began clearing debris from roads and yards – a response that earned his company the Heroes of Bentwater and Neighbor of the Year awards.
